Dear fellow Clinical Research Professional,

In February 2023 we returned to the in person format of the Annual conference in New Delhi and it definitely raised the standards in many domains of a conference – content, format, participation and interactiveness quotient to name a few. The 2024 Annual conference will look to build from where we left off in 2023 and will aim to raise the bar even higher.

A lot has changed since the previous edition of the conference in the world of clinical research. Decentralized clinical trials are now much more a part and parcel of study protocols whether it is e consent, e PRO, e COA, Home Health Nursing, use of sensors/wearables or direct to patient shipment of medicinal products. In May of 2023 we had release of the draft ICH E6(R3) which is a major overhaul of the GCP guidelines since E6(R2). All these major events that are at play in the clinical research ecosystem needs to be discussed, debated and best approaches for implementation needs to be chalked out.

India’s new DCGI, Dr Rajeev Raghuvanshi will also be completing a year in office by the time of the Annual meeting and it will be great to hear from the regulator’s desk on “looking back and also what to expect as looking forward”. The format of having several tracks to cater to the diverse domains in clinical research will continue and strengthen. We will continue to have opportunity to network, learn about new technology through our vendor partners/exhibitors and also have opportunity to appreciate and thank all the stakeholders in the clinical research enterprise – the patients foremost.

The workshop and conference registrations are going to open very soon and I very much hope to see you at the 17 th Annual conference of ISCR 2024 in Hyderabad.
